Multiple nights I’m unable to sleep, so I stay up and start drawing away. Today, I finished a piece I started last night, which I now call ‘Opulence”. What do drawings mean to me? Sincerely, I don’t know. The activity just absorbs me completely. I forget everything else in such a way, that I can’t stop until it’s finished. It relaxes me. It makes me focus. It’s like creating life on a sheet of paper.
That’s why I decided to show you all some of my pieces, so you can have a better comprehension and recognition of my own personal style.

So, as you can see, the colorful psychodelic-looking design is something very personalized and that I use on a lot of my pieces. It’s something I’ve done for quite a while (you can ask my high school classmates), that I even painted my bedroom walls like it (I’ll upload a pic of my room later on), and also serves as an explanation as to the why of the background of my blog.
The painting of the ballerina was a piece I did back in 2009 when I was only 14 years old. I used oil paint, but as you can see, I’m way more comfortable painting/drawing realism in black and white than in color (it’s a whole planet less complicated).
The rest are just old school projects: a portrait of one of my friends called Sarah, and two typography examples in which I couldn’t leave my design behind. The two small drawings next to Opulence are part of an art project I idealized a couple of months ago, called Dark Girls, in which I would have drawn a series of small 8.5×12 cms b&w pictures of beautiful tender girls which all had their nails painted black, but it didn’t quite work out as I wanted, so I just let them be in my little board, under a decade-old picture of one of my brothers holding one of our dogs.
Obviously I have way more other pieces, but they’re mostly school projects and these are the best and the ones I’m most proud of. I’m really looking forward to doing more pieces like Opulence. If I were to sell prints of her, would you buy one?
